B. Arch- 5 Year Degree Program
Based on the GGSIPU curriculum, the broad purpose of the program is to give both academic expertise as well as functional abilities to trainees to prepare them for an expert job in the field of design. Much of the academic understanding is obtained in application and research study setting being integrated into practical/ workshop and also seminar activity-based programs. The program is likewise developed to satisfy the guidelines of the Council of Design for B.Arch. - the degree that meets the qualification standards for registration with the COA as a "Designer".
Academic Program (w.e.f. Academic Session 2018-19).
As per GGSIPU the period of the B. Arch. program is 10 semesters i.e. 5 years. The Academic term will be committed to 16 weeks of instruction/ Teaching (consisting of course examination) job. The maximum duration required for completion of the program will be n +2 i. e. 7 years. A pupil will need to gain all the credit histories specified in the Scheme of Mentor & Exam as well as syllabi.
Promo Plan to the Next School year (w.e.f. Academic Session 2018-19).
Upon the statement of the outcomes of the semesters of a school year, a pupil failing in any kind of course or program accumulating more than 5-course credit reports will not be qualified for promotion to the subsequent academic year. A pupil who has stopped working in training courses aggregating equal to or more than 6 credit reports will be qualified to repeat the failed programs in the subsequent school year. Such a trainee will not be required to repeat any type of course that the student has already finished effectively.
